Helmets and Bikes on Guided Ninh Binh Tours
What inclusion panels promise — fit checks at briefing without invented brands.
Included guided tours on this site list a bicycle and helmet in the standard inclusion blocks migrated from live operations. We do not invent component brands or model years in marketing copy — if you need a specific fit, send height and experience at enquiry. Helmets are non-negotiable for guided departures unless operator policy states otherwise in writing.
At the pre-ride briefing
Expect a few minutes on brakes, saddle height, and helmet strap tension before you leave the start point. Dyke surfaces reward stable steering more than aggressive gearing — if the bike feels wrong in the first hundred metres, say so. Guides adjust regularly for mixed-ability private parties.
- Inspect strap fit under chin — two fingers should fit between strap and skin
- Hybrid or trekking style bikes suit dyke surfaces; drop-bar road bikes are usually the wrong tool
- Own pedals, cleats, or gloves only if agreed in advance — compatibility not guaranteed
- Child helmets: confirm ages and head sizes in WhatsApp before travel day
- Panniers and large backpacks: ask — balance affects handling on narrow village edges
